7 COUNCIL SEATS OPEN FOR 2016 FALL ELECTION

The Town of Chino Valley will hold its Primary Election on August 30, 2016 and its General Election, if needed, on November 8, 2016.

The office of mayor, a two-year term, three council positions with two-year terms, and three council positions with four-year terms, will be open for candidacy.

Anyone desiring to run for mayor or councilmember must meet the qualifications to register to vote, be 18 years of age, live within the Town limits, and must have resided within the Town limits for one year. Citizens may obtain a candidate packet at the Town Clerk's Office in Town Hall, 202 N. State Route 89, by making an appointment with the Town Clerk at 636-2646, ext. 1208.

Prospective candidates will have until June 1, 2016 to gather the required number of signatures and file the necessary papers with the Town Clerk.
