[ARCHIVED] Road Work Continues on Center Street

Road Construction

The sewer and road work continues on Center Street from State Route 89 west to the intersection of Center Street and Sycamore Vista Drive also known as the Mollie Rae subdivision.  The contractor work has been delayed by wet weather conditions.  This required some wet areas to be excavated and replaced with dry (AB) road base material.

The dry road base material (AB) is scheduled to be placed from State Route 89 to Road 1 West this week.  Subgrade grading will start on Center Street from Road 1 West to Mollie Rae next following week.  Weather permitting all AB should be placed within two weeks.  Chip seal and final AB cannot be placed until warmer weather conditions.  Weather permitting; we are projecting all final work will be completed within the next two months.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the unforeseen inclement weather conditions.  Please contact Michael Lopez, Public Works Director and Town Engineer, at mlopez@chinoaz.net or at 928-636-7140 if you have any questions or concerns.  Thank you for your understanding in this project!

Sincerely,

Michael Lopez
